In 2020, during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic, it was recommended that everyone stay home and avoid social contact with others. During this time, people did various things to occupy their time and show support for medical workers.

One of the things kids and even adults did was paint small river rocks with fun images or simply colors. They would place the rocks on the trails for people to find and even collect. We saw many that were very creative. They would be there one day, then gone the next.

I painted several for fun, then decided to paint something more detailed. I had planned to put these on the trail, then my wife Chris would not let me. She decided they looked better on a shelf in her craft room, so that’s where they ended up.
